Excursion to Madrid

Welcome to Madrid. Madrid is the Capital of Spain, the city is famous for its Museums and for its night life.
But Madrid has also many other interesting things to offer, we are in front of the "Puerta de Alcala".


Cybele --also known as Rhea-- was the goddess of the earth. She married his own brother: Cronus --the youngest of the titans, also known as Saturn or Time. After Cronus defeated his father, he was prophesied that he would be supplanted by one of his sons. To prevent this, he swallowed all his babes --a personification of Time, who creates only to destroy. All Cronus sons died this way but one: Jupiter (Jove or Zeus), who finally supplanted his father.



The Prado Museum is Spain’s finest Museum, and one of the best in Europe. Inside this neoclassical building you can find over 3,000 paintings. The Prado Museum has a formidable collection of Italian masterpieces, with works of Titian, Raphael, Tintoretto and Botticelli. A great collection of Flemish masterpieces, with works of Van Dyck, Albrecht Dürer, van der Weyden, Peter Breughel the Elder and Rubens. But the best part of the museum is the Velazquez and Goya section.Have a nice trip!!
