Santander’s summer festival counted more than 34.000 people, 6000 more than last year.



Last week-end the second edition of Santander (Spain) summer festival received more than 34,000 people, which is 6,000 more than the year before. Although the weather wasn’t as good as it could have been, almost 4,000 people took part in Thursday’s events, another 12,000 came along on Friday, followed by over 18,300 on Saturday.


The public had a great time there and the organizers were very content with how the festival played out. Numerous municipal services of the Spanish city had been working continuously on this project during this three-day festival, and that part of the success of this event was the result of their work. Moreover, not a single incident has been reported.


This festival, which was created for the commemoration of Santander’s 250th birthday, is now part of the most famous European musical events. Thanks to the various bands, like The Prodigy, Pet Shop Boys or Black Eyed Peas, which contributed to this second edition a highly diversified public came to assist in numerous rock, pop and electronic music concerts.
